Academic Support Office (ASO)
The Academic Support Office (ASO) provides academic support via Academic Study Skills, including Mathematics workshops, during the semester. There is no need to book or sign-up and workshops are free.
The ASO also supports students by providing the opportunity to book an individual appointment with an academic support officer to discuss any academic concerns you may have.
The workshops are designed to build academic skills and confidence in students and assist students to achieve their academic potential. The workshops run for approximately 45 minutes so students will have time to eat lunch and prepare for their next class.
The workshops are presented at both the Darlinghurst and Broadway campuses and students receive weekly email reminders.
Academic Study Skills workshops focus on features of academic writing such as finding appropriate resources for assessment tasks, essay writing, critical thinking, developing an argument and referencing. Other workshop topics include improving your memory, exam preparation and stress management.
Mathematics workshops are School specific and will be presented for School of Nursing, School of Business and for the Pathways mathematic units in the Tertiary Preparatory Program (TPP).
Please ensure you check the workshop timetable carefully for details of these workshops.
