School of Nursing and Midwifery, Broome, Course Information
The School of Nursing and Midwifery has engaged with technology to increase access to its nursing and health courses. Blackboard Collaborate, a web based classroom is used to provide access to lectures, tutorials and facilitators throughout all of the courses provided by the school. This has increased opportunity for students living in the Kimberley and areas around Western Australia. The VET courses use the Maryanne Martin hospital and authentic eLearning hospital for their units of study which enables study to occur 24/7.
The School of Nursing and Midwifery has a strong belief in recognition of prior learning (RPL) and offers specific pathways for Aboriginal Health Workers (AHWs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs) into the Bachelor of Nursing Program.

Notre Dame Broome campus awards recognized prior learning to Enrolled Nursing graduates into second year of the Bachelor of Nursing degree:

Bachelor of Nursing (Articulation Pathways for EN Diploma)
The Bachelor of Nursing (Articulation Pathways for EN Diploma) Broome recognises the relevant prior educational achievements of the Enrolled Nurse and offers a specialised course mandated for nursing accreditation in Australian whilst placing a strong emphasis on clinical experience.
