Notre Dame University leads the way for student satisfaction in NSW
12 January 2018
The University of Notre Dame Australia has the most satisfied graduates in NSW, according to results of a national graduate survey released today by the Federal Government.
The 2017 Graduate Outcomes Survey reveals Notre Dame University, Sydney, achieved a first in NSW at 92.7% for Overall Graduate Satisfaction – well above the national average of 80%.
The survey, published by the Federal Department of Education, was based on 120,700 responses from graduates of Australian universities and other tertiary institutions. It measures students’ satisfaction and employment outcomes over the past year.
“Notre Dame’s Sydney Campus outperforms the national average in three of the survey’s focus areas and is notably ranked first in the state for Overall Graduate Satisfaction – which is a testament to the high-quality educational experience we offer our students,” said Professor Margot Kearns, Head of Campus, Sydney.
In terms of salary outcomes, Notre Dame outperformed most other universities in NSW, coming equal first in NSW with a median salary of $62,000, compared to a national average of $58,000.
Notre Dame also out performed all NSW universities in two other categories. The University was ranked 83.2% for Teaching Scale, compared to the national average of 63%, and 92.7% for Skills Scale, well above the national average of 81.8%.
“These results solidify Notre Dame as one of the state’s top universities and acknowledges the University’s ongoing commitment to providing students with a rewarding educational experience that leads to highly successful graduate outcomes,” said Professor Kearns.
